Our two other dogs Purdey and Brodie have had many trips to the local vet in Woking. Purdey is always in there it seems as she has a condition that needs managing with blood tests and quite of a lot of different medications.
This was Rory's first visit to the local vet although he'd seen one before for his various puppy jabs and meds etc. One interesting personality trait about Rory is that he isn't what you'd describe as a sociable dog. He's very suspicious of strangers and it takes him a long time (if at all) to feel comfortable. The waiting room was very quiet which was lucky.
Anyway, today he'd needed two vaccinations. One for kennel cough and another for the parvo virus. He did not like the vet, backed himself into the corner of the treatment room and became quite aggressive which isn't very like him at all. My mum and the vet had to lift him onto the table and try to keep him still as the two injections went in. He squealed a bit and then as soon as they were done he jumped off the table and headed for the door.
Ruff day for Rory. For sure. Once he came home he ran off for a good long nap to recover.
